How to prepare the home for the Property Photo shoot: or check out my 7 ways to De-clutter your home

The goal is to get the best pictures that will attract potential buyers to your home or listing.

You do not need to have the home vacant to sell your home, but staging your home is important if you plan on living in the home. You will need to declutter the home of personal items. Let's see if this list will help you in finding out how to prepare your home not only for the the photographer to take pictures but for the potential buyers coming through to look at your home.

For the house in General:

- All windows should be cleaned and streak free

- Dust all ceiling fans, lamps, picture frames, tables, counter tops, any window blinds or shutters and even the drapes.

- Clean the sinks and mirrors with in all the house

- Have clean waste baskets or trash cans (remove all for the picture taking)

- Remove the toothbrushes and cups, soap dishes and dispensers and scales

- If rugs and towels are too much color, remove for the photographer for just the picture taking

- Clean up all toys within the house and put away neatly

- Remove all guns or weapons or put away in a cabinet hidden.

If you are wanting someone to come in and stage your home for the Photography session make sure that is done at least 24 hours in advanced. Coordinate with your agent and photographer to make sure everything is on track and times are good for everyone.
